Like a crimson butterfly he quietly floated towards her late one Winter and on his brightly colored wings he brought the warmth of Spring.
He gently landed on her cold heart and in that brief moment he awakened something in her she was sure never even existed.
Before he flew away, he left her memories of warm, gentle, and passionate kisses like a steady glass of red wine. Carefully controlled never allowing lust to spoil the moment but he taught her how to sip gently and slowly, to savor the taste of the wine as it danced on her tongue.
He gave her happy moments of kisses on a sidewalk, standing on the edge of her toes to reach up to him, always yearning for one last kiss, one last shared smile.
As he flies away, she can see him bow to her as he tips his hat, bidding her adieu.
She still thinks of that Crimson butterfly that renewed faith in herself. If only for a moment, he showed her the power of her own faith and showed her that she could love romance, which is something she never believed before him.
Her remaining memories have left her heart full of gratitude, peace, and warm feelings of love for the butterfly and the next heart he brings Spring to.
